CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- Franklin & Marshall men's tennis fell on the road to Washington by a 6-3 final on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference (CC) action. The Diplomats (4-3, 1-1 CC) were behind 2-1 entering singles and never recovered as the Shoremen (6-4, 1-0 CC) grabbed four singles victories in straight sets.
F&M managed a tight 8-6 victory at No. 3 doubles from Pedro Norte and Anthony Casale for an early point. Justin Pace continued his strong stretch of play with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at #2 singles, while Tristan Steffe eeked out a 6-7 (6-8), 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.
The Diplomats return to action next Saturday afternoon with a 1:00 p.m. start against Swarthmore.
