Volleyball Soars Past McDaniel, 3-0

WESTMINSTER, Md.- The Franklin & Marshall volleyball team (16-8, 8-2 CC) swept McDaniel (2-20, 1-9 CC) 3-0 in its Centennial Conference match Saturday afternoon to conclude the regular season slate. The sweep is the 11th of the season and third in a row for the Diplomats. F&M won each set with final tallies of 25-18, 25-16, and 25-18.

Gianna Mangiamele led the F&M offense, racking up 12 kills with a hitting percentage of .611. Sydney Levins closely followed with 11 kills and a hitting percentage of .381. Two Diplomats finished with double-digit assists as Liah Perez recorded 16 assists and Hannah McCarthy dished out 13 in the win.

On defense, Meredith Mangum totaled a game-high 11 digs to limit the Green Terror to hitting percentages of .062, .098, and .057 in each set. F&M tallied 12 block assists, with Lauren Arnold and Mangiamele each recording a solo block.

The Diplomats already locked-up the No. 3 seed in the CC playoffs with their win against Muhlenberg Wednesday evening. F&M hosts Muhlenberg in the first round on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Mayser Center.
