LANCASTER, Pa. – Facing the winner of the Centennial West Quad in another challenging meet during the early weeks of the season, the Franklin & Marshall women's swimming team dropped a 143-119 dual against Gettysburg on Friday night. The Diplomats (2-2, 2-2 CC) won seven of the 14 events, but were slightly edged by the Bullets' depth.

Sophie Moyer had three victories to her credit as she won the 100 Fly (59.67) and 100 Breast (1:08.33), while additionally swimming the second leg of F&M's 200 Free Relay that won that event with a time of 1:40.99. She joined Julie McFadden, Helen Lahmann-Metcalfe, and Olivia Lockey on that winning relay that is currently ranked first in the Centennial Conference.

In addition to her success on the relay, McFadden won the 50 Free with a time of 25.30 seconds and took second in the 100 Back (1:01.44). McFadden is currently ranked second in the conference in the 50 Free. Other winners for the Diplomats were Sophie Bergstrom in the 50 Back (28.55), Catherine Crampton's 400 IM (4:41.84), and Georgia May's 500 Free (5:28.65). Crampton's winning time the IM is currently the fastest in the conference. Bergstrom added to her strong performances with a third-place showing in the 100 Back.

Bergstrom, Crampton, Moyer, and McFadden added a second place finish in the 400 Medley Relay to start the meet.
