Stoll, Kupsky Sweep CC Swimmer of the Week Awards

LANCASTER, Pa. – Willem Stoll was named Centennial Conference (CC) Men's Swimmer of the Week while Tara Kupsky was selected for CC Women's Swimmer of the week honors to sweep swimming's weekly awards for Franklin & Marshall as the swimming season began this weekend.

It marked the first time that either Stoll or Kupsky has received the honor after both picked up three individual first-place finishes on opening weekend.

Stoll (South Salem, N.Y. / John Jay) picked up three individual first-place finishes in F&M's tri-meet against York and Widener. He took first in the 1,000-yard freestyle, 200-yard butterfly, and 500-yard freestyle for the Diplomats.

Kupsky (Bear Creek, Pa. / Wyoming Seminary) earned three first-place finishes and was part of the first-place 200-yard freestyle relay for the Diplomats in a tri-meet with York and Widener. She won the 1,000-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle, and 200-yard IM to help the Diplomats to a 2-0 start to the season.

F&M begins CC action on Saturday, traveling to Washington College for a 1:00 p.m. meet.
