LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall women's swimming opens its 2019-20 campaign with a home tri-meet against York and Widener. The Diplomats look to build off of a fourth-place finish at Centennial Conference (CC) Championships last season.

F&M registered two medals and a fourth-place finish at last season's CC Championships from Feb. 21-24. Eight first-years look to make immediate impacts in the lineup after the Diplomats lost five members of the team to graduation last year.
Tara Kupsky '22 paced the Diplomats at CC Championships in her first-year season, bringing home bronze medals in the 200-yard IM (2:09.47) and 400-yard IM (4:34.56).
Janashree Jonnalagadda '21 delivered first-place finishes in the 100- and 200-yard Backstroke at CC Champs last season.

The CC Preseason Poll ranks the Diplomats fourth in the Conference with 29 points. Ursinus topped the list with 48 points and six of the eight first-place votes, followed by Swarthmore in second with 44 points and two first-place nods. Complete Poll.
After opening weekend, CC competition starts on Saturday, Oct. 26 when the Diplomats head to Washington for a 1:00 p.m. dual meet that begins a three-week road trip that goes through mid-November. F&M participates in back-to-back tri-meets, facing Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore at Bryn Mawr on Nov. 1, followed by a trip to Vassar, facing both Vassar and New Paltz on Nov. 8.
On Nov. 22-24, the annual Franklin & Marshall Invitational will take place at the Alumni Sports and Fitness Center, while the CC Championships are heading back to Gettysburg and are set to run from Feb. 20-23.
