LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Nicolette Runko earned a place on the 2019 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women's All-Mid-Atlantic Region team, announced on Monday. The honor was the first of her career.
Runko (Howell, N.J. / Marine Acad.) landed on the second team after leading the Diplomats and tying for third in the Centennial Conference (CC) with 12 goals on the year, and placing fifth in the Conference with 29 points. The senior forward ended her illustrious career on a tear, tallying nine goals in her final six games, including a hat trick against Ursinus in F&M's 4-1 win on Oct. 12th.
She became one of only three Diplomats in the program history to earn All-CC honors four times during her career after the senior forward garnered Honorable Mention recognition as a first-year and Second Team accolades each of the last two years.
F&M won 10 games for the first time since the 2005 season and produced its first winning campaign since 2011. The Diplomats remained in the CC Playoff hunt heading into the final week of the regular season and won five out of their last six games.
