GRAND LAKE, Colo. – Emily Everdell and the Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse team were recognized for their success in the classroom by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). Everdell was named to the Academic Honor Roll for the second consecutive year while the team earned a spot on the Academic Honors Squad.
The IWLCA honored 404 student-athletes from 127 different institutions with inclusion in the 2015 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically and had a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
Everdell (Littleton, Mass. / Acton Boxborough Regional) scored 30 goals and handed out two assists last season. She caused eight turnovers, won seven draws and collected six ground balls. The senior attack was named to the North-South All-Star roster earlier this postseason and picked up All-Region recognition last year, landing on the second team, and received All-Centennial Honorable Mention following the 2014 season.
F&M was one of 128 Division III institutions recognized for maintaining a team GPA of 3.0 or higher last season. The number of Division III schools nearly equals the total number of Division I (83) and Division II (50) programs combined.
