Women's Golf Posts Three Best Individual Scores at Dickinson Tri-Meet

CARLISLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's golf team wrapped up its fall season with Centennial Conference competition against Dickinson and McDaniel on Friday afternoon. Although the Diplomats sent just three golfers and were ineligible for the team title, those three Diplomats did post the best three individual scores among the field of 14 golfers.

Reilly Melvin took home the first medalist honors of her career after the first-year shot a season-best round of 81. Melvin has dropped her score during each of the four fall tournaments and has not finished outside of the top 10 after the completion of her first collegiate semester. Bryn Fitchett (87) and Claire Hill (89) finished second and third in the field. Their closest competition outside of the Diplomats came from McDaniel's Vaishali Bhatt, who turned in a score of 91. Dickinson won the team title with a score of 400.

Women's golf will now break from competition for the semester. The Diplomats will play the majority of their tournaments during the spring season. The complete spring semester schedule will be released in the coming months.
