Women's Rowing Wraps Up Fall Season at Head of the Occoquan

FAIRFAX STATION, Va. – The Franklin & Marshall women's rowing team had a number of top 10 finishes at the Head of the Occoquan to close out the team's fall competition schedule. The Diplomats entered five crews in the field and came away with top 10 finishes in over half of those events.

F&M's top placing boat came in the pair race as that duo finished in second place with a time of 29:30.10. The Diplomats' Varsity 8+ was sixth overall in its race with a time of 21:37.74.

The team concluded its Saturday with three 4+ boats entering the water. The highest finish came from the junior varsity team as that crew finished ninth in a time of 25:32.14. The varsity was 12th overall in its field (26:06.08), while the Novice 4+ crew took 16th in a time of 29:03.16.

Women's rowing now breaks from competition until the spring semester. The Diplomats will race the majority of their regattas in the spring where the team is slated to open on Saturday, March 25 at the Washington College Invite.
