LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's men's cross country team looks to continue building success after placing 14th in the 2021 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals. The 2022 season begins September 3.

Athletes to Watch

After losing only two seniors to graduation, the men's cross country team brings an experienced squad into the 2022 campaign. Bennett Wasch '23 finished in the top 10 of the 46 runner field and helped F&M push past an Elizabethtown team that was then-ranked fourth in the preseason United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mid-Atlantic Regional rankings.

Alex Fillman '23 led Franklin & Marshall with his seventh-place finish coming in a personal-best 8K time at Hood Invitational. Alex Miller '25 posted a time of 16:21 in the Little Three Meet 5K course to place eighth overall in the field of 43 runners. Connor Ashnault, Jack Emrey, Dan Gaiewski, and Mike Maglione are also senior leaders on this year's team. Franklin & Marshall will look for veteran experience to carry this team as six of the 14 Diplomats are members of the College's Class of 2023.
