Rodenberger Takes Silver in Javelin on Final Day of CC Championships

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Jack Rodenberger earned another silver medal at the Centennial Conference Championships as he placed second in the javelin to cap a number of scoring performances on Sunday. The Diplomats finished the meet with 29 points and finished in ninth place as a team. Earning his second consecutive second-team All-Centennial Conference recognition in the event, Rodenberger unleashed his best throw at 54.12 meters.

The Diplomats did the rest of their scoring Sunday on the track, led by a trio of fourth place finishers. F&M earned that position in both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays. The 4x100 relay of Amare Conley, Corey Neves, Isaiah Chery, and Elliott Coulter finished in a time of 43.13 seconds to become the sixth-fastest relay in school history. The 4x400 team of Alex Fillman, Ryan Braun, Adam Green, and Nick Trapani finished with a time of 3:25.34.

Three of those 4x400 relay legs also scored individually. Fillman placed fourth in the 800 meters, crossing the line in 1:54.56 to record the seventh fastest time in school history. Ryan Braun placed sixth in that same event with a time of 1:55.50. Adam Green earned an additional point towards the team score with his eighth-place finish in the 400 meter hurdles, posting a time of 59.65 seconds.

With the conclusion of the Centennial Conference Championships, the Diplomats will now explore options for last chance meets where the team will be chasing personal best times in hopes of qualifying for the NCAA Division III National Championship meet.
