Megan Shaffer joined the Franklin & Marshall men's and women's swimming teams as an assistant coach for the 2021-22 season. In her first season with the program, she saw a talented senior class on the men's side lead the team to a program-best 17th place finish at the NCAA Championships behind 20 All-America performances. A young women's team also saw several school records fall while the Diplomats additionally earned seven All-Centennial honors.
Shaffer recently completed her competitive career as a 2020 graduate of Susquehanna University where she was the school record holder in the 800-yard freestyle. A team captain for the River Hawks, Shaffer was an eight-time All-Landmark Conference swimmer who was also named to the Landmark Conference’s Winter All-Academic Team on multiple occasions.
Shaffer graduated from Susquehanna with her degree in Creative Writing and English – Publishing & Editing. She currently works as a Digital Content Writer with the Woodstream Corporation.
