Nohel and Parekh Finish Season At CSA Individual Championships

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Petr Nohel and Aryan Parekh both competed on Friday at the opening day of the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships, hosted by Penn. The sixth-seeded Nohel picked up a win in the Round of 16 of the Molloy East bracket, but ultimately fell in the quarterfinals to the third seed. The 11th-seeded Parekh lost a four game battle in the Round of 16 in the Molloy West division, then defaulted in the consolation quarterfinal.

Petr Nohel - Molloy Cup - East

Nohel had an easy time in the Round of 16, rolling through Bates's Jesper Phillips by an 11-8, 11-5, 11-3 final. Facing Karim Elbarbary, the third seed from Princeton, the senior was no match in an 11-6, 11-5, 11-7 finish.

Aryan Parekh – Molloy Cup – West

Parekh gave a battle in his only match of the day, going four games against the sixth-seeded Thomas Rosini from Princeton. Rosini took the first frame 11-5, but the Diplomat answered back with an 11-6 rebound in the second. Parekh dropped the next two games 12-10 and 11-5 to fall into the consolation bracket. The senior did not participate in the consolation bracket, defaulting in the  quarterfinal.
