No. 20 Men's Soccer Battles Gettysburg to 1-1 Draw

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The 20th-ranked Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team (8-1-2, 3-0-1 CC) played Gettysburg (7-1-3, 2-1-2 CC), a team receiving votes in the national poll, to a 1-1 tie Wednesday evening in its Centennial Conference match.

Facing a 1-0 deficit in the 74th minute, Oscar Horwitz just got enough of the cross into the box Isaac Mintz to send it in towards the far post and beat the Gettysburg keeper. For Horwitz, the two-time reigning Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week, it marks his seventh goal of the season. He has now scored in each of the Diplomats' last four matches. Mintz was credited with his first assist of the season after scoring his first goal of the year during the previous match against Rosemont.

F&M sent 13 shot attempts with five on target in the match. Nathan Schlessinger and Mintz led the Diplomat offense with two shots on goal each. Connor Anderko tallied one shot on target in the contest.

It is the second 1-1 tie this season for F&M, as the Diplomats finished with the same result against Kean in early September.

No. 20 Franklin & Marshall plays its final non-conference match of the season on the road at Lancaster Bible Wednesday at 7 p.m.
