FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga.- The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team dropped two places on Day Two of the Oglethorpe Royal Lakes Invitational (hosted by Oglethorpe) to place ninth in the team standings. F&M was one of three CC teams to participate in the tournament, as Gettysburg placed tied for fourth and McDaniel finished 19th.
Washington & Lee shot a combined 286 on the second day to win the tournament. W&L's lowest score came from Pierce Robinson, who shot seven-under par to finish tied for second in the individual standings. Tanner Bronnum of Birmingham Southern shot eight-under for the lowest individual score of the tournament.
Shane Lawler led F&M by shooting even par on the final day. Lawler finished two-under par in the tournament to place tied for seventh with five other golfers in the individual standings.
Jas Fuhrer finished one-under today to place tied for 24th in the field. Chris Dorey shot a 76 on Day Two of the tournament to finished tied for 36th. Dylan Gallagher and Jack Cooley rounded out the Diplomats as they both shot 11-over par in the tournament to finish tied with each other for 69th on the leaderboard.
The Diplomats will compete in the Gino Biondi Memorial Tournament and the Cardinal Fall Classic on Saturday. The Gino Biondi Memorial Tournament will be held at Glenmaura National Golf Club and is hosted by Marywood. The Cardinal Fall Classic is held at Black Rock Golf Course and is hosted by Catholic.
