Men's Rowing Takes Gold In 2- and 2x; Medals in Varsity 4 and Novice 4

PHILADELPHIA – The Franklin & Marshall men's rowing team took gold in both the Division III Varsity 2- (pair) and 2x (double) events at the Head of the Schuylkill on Saturday, October 29. The program additionally earned silver in the Division III Varsity 4+ and bronze in the Division III Novice/Freshmen 4+. 

"It was a really exciting day of racing for the men's program," said head coach Bob Brady. "The men had two weeks of solid training between regattas and the work they put in really paid off for HOSR."

The lineup in the men's pair included Alan Grove and Vyas Agarwal, while the lineup for the double included Josh Geller and Aemon Cameron

The men's varsity 4+ lineup consisted of Josh Geller, Aemon Cameron, Tai Jespersen and Liam Seibold, with Devin Hohenstein as coxswain. 

The men's novice 4+ included Nick Cicchetti, Jake Stokes, Ian Rubimbura, and Moemen Ibrahim, with Don Ang as coxswain. 

The Diplomats also entered a men's Varsity 8+, which took 5th out of 7 DIII schools, beating Stockton University and Susquehanna University. The lineup consisted of Jack Entsminger as coxswain, as well as Alan Grove, Josh Geller, Aemon Cameron, Josh Palles, Lance Rozenfeld, Tai Jespersen, Vyas Agarwal and Liam Seibold

F&M also raced a second Varsity 4+, which took 5th out of 6 DIII crews. The lineup consisted of Jack Entsminger as coxswain, as well as Alan Grove, Josh Palles, Vyas Agarwal and Lance Rozenfeld

During the regatta, the rowing program welcomed back alumni to take part in the Alumni 4+ and the Alumni 8+. 

The men's 4+ consisted of Nick Ferra as coxswain, as well as Brandon Schneider, Carlos Ortiz, James Jarvis and Sam Alter. 

The men's 8+ included Annette Von Jaglinsky as coxswain, as well as James Jarvis, Joel Cannon, Ron Nahass, Conor Borak, Carlos Ortiz, Brandon Schneider, Sam Alter, and Nick Ferra. 

"Seeing so many familiar faces and names was quite welcomed," said Coach Brady. "Whenever we can connect with alumni in Philly, it's a fun and energetic experience."

Men's rowing wraps up its fall competition season this Saturday at The Head of the Occoquan, which will be held in Fairfax Station, Va.
