Men's Rowing Makes Petite Final at Kerr Cup

PHILADELPHIA – The Franklin & Marshall men's rowing team advanced to the Varsity Eight Petite Final at the Kerr Cup on Saturday in Philadelphia. The Diplomats perservered and overcame challenging conditions throughout the event, which included headwinds of greater than 15 miles per hour.

After advancing to the finals, the crew took sixth overall behind fellowl MARC school, St. Mary's (Md.).

To get to the petite final, the Diplomats certainly faced tough competition in the heats as they lined up against Division I programs that included Yale, Drexel and Temple, along with well-respected clubs from Bucknell and Lehigh. To make it from the heat to the final, the men's crew beat out Loyola's varsity eight.

"The men's program really came together this week after what could be considered a hard one the previous week after battling illnesses that prevented us putting together our race line up," said Head Coach Bob Brady. "It was great to see these guys come together against some amazing competition, as well as a strong head wind."

The men's varsity eight, from coxswain to bow, included: Jack Entsminger, Josh Geller, Liam Seibold, Lance Rozenfeld, Josh Palles, Max Raulli, Alan Grove, Severin Schut, and Vyas Agarwal.

Up next, the men's program will host Villanova and Susquehanna University on Saturday, April 23.
