LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's Brian Hines and Ignas Slyka both earned a place on the 2019-20 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court. The achievement is reserved for men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season.
To be eligible for the honors court, a student-athlete must be either a junior or senior in class standing and possess a GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2019-20 academic year.
This year marks the second straight that Slyka has been named to the Honors Court. Slyka (Mississauga, Canada / Millbrook School) graduated this past spring and was a joint studies major in Business, Organization, and Society and Economics with a minor in Applied Mathematics. The honor is the first for Hines (Lancaster, Pa. / Manheim Township) who is a rising senior majoring in Business, Organization, and Society and Spanish.
