86 Diplomats Named to CC Fall Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. – A record total of 86 Franklin & Marshall student-athletes, representing seven sports, earned a place on the 2022 Centennial Conference (CC) Fall Academic Honor Roll, announced by the league office.

Those 86 scholar-athletes who were honored included the 2022 Centennial Conference Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year in Meredith Mangum, along with a total of 12 who were named All-Centennial Conference Performances and were additionally represented on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll.

With her honor, Mangum becomes just the 17th player in Centennial Conference history across all sports to be named the Centennial Conference Player of the Year in a particular sport and win CC Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors. Mangum was previously honored as the Centennial Conference's Defensive Player of the Year. The Centennial Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year is presented to the junior or senior who has the highest cumulative GPA amongst student-athletes who were also named All-Centennial Conference Performers.

In addition to Mangum, F&M's Academic All-Centennial honorees included five women's soccer players (Sierra Brophy, Emily Cleary, Alison Francis, Meg O'Callahan, Mikaela Timmermans), three men's soccer players (Sam Farrell, Oscar Horwitz, Koa Kaliebe), two field hockey players (Sydney Lipper, Katie Roper), and football's Jacob Hille. 

Football paced the list with 25 representatives while women's soccer had 20 student-athletes receive the honor. Field hockey saw 13 of their members earn the distinction, followed by ten from men's soccer, seven from both volleyball and men's cross country, and four from women's cross country.
