F&M Athletics to Air Digital Awards Ceremony on Monday

LANCASTER, Pa. – The annual end of the year awards ceremony for Franklin & Marshall athletics will be produced digitally and premiered on Monday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m. EST on the department's Youtube page.

The ceremony, which will contain the annual "EppSPY Awards," as well as several esteemed department accolades for student-athletes, can be viewed directly at GoDiplomats.com/AwardShow, or by searching your Youtube app for "GoDiplomats."

A schedule of events can be found below.

Special Guests

Mimicking the event's typical in-person format, which is normally held as a luncheon for student-athletes on the Monday of reading days, the digital award show will begin with welcome messages from special guests such as President Barbara K. Altmann, Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs Margaret Hazlett, Provost and Dean of Faculty Cameron Wesson, and Director of Athletics and Recreation Patricia S.W. Epps.

2020 EppSPYs

The majority of the program will be centered on the sixth annual EppSPY Awards Ceremony, which is developed and produced by F&M's Student-Athlete Leadership Council (SALC). The EppSPYs, named in honor of the Diplomats' athletic director, features 10 award categories ranging from the year's "Best Photo" to the "Play of the Year."

Emcee John Witwer, the public address announcer of Diplomat athletics and the Lancaster Barnstormers will emcee the event, which will feature an abundance of gameday photos and video highlights of F&M student-athletes. To view EppSPY nominations, check out the SALC Instagram Page.

Annual Department Awards

Immediately following the EppSPYs, the annual F&M department awards will be announced during the broadcast. These include the SALC Sportsmanship Award, the Athletic Director's Award for Leadership Distinction, the Delphic Student-Athlete Award, and is set to conclude with the prestigious Garrigues and Karvasales awards, which are given to the male and female senior athletes that displayed cumulative outstanding athletic and academic achievements over a four-year period.
