Student Athlete Leadership Council

What is SALC?

Franklin & Marshall College’s Student-Athlete Leadership Council (SALC) is a council made up of approximately 100 student-athlete representatives. SALC organizes events to increase community involvement, fundraise, and boost DIP pride.  Through these events, the organization contributes to the local area and enhances the student-athlete experience. SALC provides athletes the opportunity to further develop valuable leadership skills and become an integral part of the school and Lancaster communities.

SALC Mission Statement

To develop leadership qualities in Franklin & Marshall College student-athletes, establish leadership roles in local communities, and inspire teamwork and leadership.

Meetings

All student-athletes and members of the Franklin & Marshall community are welcome to SALC meetings held every other Tuesday at 11:30 am.

Presently, there are separate national SALCs for NCAA Divisions I, II and III. NCAA legislation mandates that all member institutions have SALCs on their respective campuses. Further, NCAA legislation requires that all member conferences have SALCs.

For more information visit the Centennial Conference SALC Page or the NCAA SALC Page.

SALC’s key initiatives include:
