Community Service

Service is an important component of being a Diplomat. Each academic year, through numerous volunteer programs and initiatives, Franklin & Marshall College student-athletes rise to the occasion and claim the Diplomat name. 

  • F&M Athletics and Lancaster Rotary Raised More Than $33k for Local Charities

    The Franklin & Marshall Athletic Department raised $33,387 through its partnership with the Lancaster Rotary Club for local charities with proceeds from the 2019 F&M William Marshall Tournament and Terry Greene Memorial Basketball Tournament.

    Members of Franklin & Marshall’s Student-Athlete Leadership Council, as well as coaches and administrators, gathered in Mayser today to participate in a workshop for the OneTeam program, an NCAA Division III LGBTQ initiative.

    More than 430 local kids attended another successful Track-or-Treat event, hosted by Franklin & Marshall's Student-Athlete Leadership Council (SALC) at the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center (ASFC) on Thursday evening. 
  • Football Team Donates 8,000 Diapers and 11,000 Wipes to WSM

    The Franklin & Marshall Football Team donated 8,000 diapers and 11,000 wipes to the Water Street Ministries Shelter that will provide children with diapers for the next three months at the shelter. Since its inception in 2012, The Little Dips Diaper Drive has collected more than 78,000 diapers for the children living at Water Street.

  • Football Team Donates 12,000 Diapers to WSM

    The Franklin & Marshall Football Team donated 12,000 diapers to the Water Street Ministries Shelter that will provide children with diapers for the next three months at the shelter. Since its inception in 2012, The Little Dips Diaper Drive has collected more than 70,000 diapers for the children living at Water Street. 
  • F&M Football Players, Families & Staff Volunteer at LFG

    Franklin & Marshall football players, families and the coaching staff volunteered at the Lauren's First and Goal Football Camp held at Lafayette College last weekend. The F&M football program had 61 volunteers at the camp and raised $10,000 through their work at the food tent. Overall, the camp raised more than $130,000 for pediatric brain tumor research and cancer services.

    Franklin & Marshall's Student-Athlete Leadership Council (SALC) held the 15th annual TeamWork event on Sunday. F&M varsity teams, as well as several Greek Organizations, all took part to beautify the local community.

    Franklin & Marshall’s Student-Athlete Leadership Council (SALC), in conjunction with Colleges Against Cancer, is sponsoring a marrow donor registry drive on Monday, April 16th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Mayser Gym main lobby.
