Women end season at Centennial Conference Championships;

It wasn't quite as good a finish as Coach Keith Dieterle was hoping, but his women's cross country team finished seventh at the Centennial Conference Meet held at Dickinson on Saturday.

Senior Karen Ziga covered the 6K distance in 23 minutes, 52 seconds to lead the team and take ninth overall. Ziga was named Second Team All-Conference for her efforts; this was the second time Ziga has made the second team list.

Senior Meredith Janeczek finished 40th overall and second for F&M with a 25:17. Junior Maggie Selzer continued her hot pace, taking 52nd overall and third on the team with a 25:41.

Fourth and fifth for the Diplomats included Katie Byrne (53rd in 25:43) and Colette Buchanan (62nd in 25:54).

Other strong finishers included Virginia Earl, Kelly Farrelly, Emily Weir and Jamie Ewanichak.
