LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's cross country team will start its 2014 season tomorrow at the annual Little Three Meet with Dickinson and Gettysburg. F&M returns four key contributors from last year and will look to improve on their 23rd-place finish at the Mid-East Regionals.

Junior Mallory Reed headlines the group of returners this season. Reed took 79th at the Mid-East Regionals with a time of 23:21 to pace the Diplomats. Seniors Kim Hilfrank and Jessica Love join Reed along with junior Julia Zielinski as the core group of returners. Looking to break into the top seven are seniors Emily Christie, Caroline Dorey-Stein and junior Rachel Weiss.
A handful of underclassmen will look to break into the rotation. Sophomores Caroline Kearney, Abby Lawlor and Brielle Stander along with freshmen Grace Adams, Abby Grehlinger and Kathleen McCutcheon will compete for time as well.
The Road Ahead
F&M kicks off the season on Wednesday when the Diplomats travel to Dickinson for the annual Little Three Meet, before heading to the Dickinson Long-Short Course Invitational the following week. Centennial Conference Championships are slated for Nov. 1 and the Mid-East Regionals are two weeks later on Nov. 15.
