Crawley Wins 6k at Delaware

NEWARK, Del.—Sheena Crawley recorded a first place finish, and four other runners finished in the top 20, as Franklin & Marshall took second at Delaware on Saturday.  The Diplomats finished with 55 points, trailing only West Chester, who recorded 38 points.  F&M competed against 12 other teams, consisting of Division I and Division II schools.

Crawley completed the 6k course in a time of 22:50.26, beating her nearest competitor by nearly 2:30 in a field of 70.  Lauren Dever notched a top ten finish for the Diplomats, finishing tenth in a time of 26:03.03.

Mary Kate Shelley (26:29.39), Jessica Love (26:47.17) and Grace Thompson (26:52.03) also tallied top 20 finishes for the Diplomats.

F&M returns to action on Oct. 29, when the Diplomats take part in the Centennial Conference Championships at Big Spring High School.  The meet begins at 11 a.m.
