Diplomats Win Silver; Place Two in Top Ten

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - The Franklin & Marshall's women's cross country placed second in the Delaware College Invitational Saturday. The Diplomats were one point shy of winner of West Chester University in the 15 team race.

The Diplomats had two runners in the top ten. Emily Wilson placed seventh with 24:43 followed closely by Amy Jordan who ran 25:11. Alexis Teevins just missed the top ten, placing 11th with a 25:40.

Kelly Farrelly placed 22nd running a 26:50 and Jenna Bush's 27:02 was good enough for 28th place.

Rounding out the team were Mary Kate Shelley (34th in 27:11), Bridget Grogan (38th in 27:28) and Liz Albright (40th in 27:32).

Melissa Zimmerman and Lauren Dever placed 43rd and 44th respectively with times of 27:35 and 27:39. Kara Doolan and Grace Thompson crossed the finished after one another, running 27:43 and 27:45.

F&M returns to action when they travel to Gettysburg on September 15th for the Little 3 Classic.
