Box Score

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's volleyball team secured a spot in the Centennial Conference  (CC) Championship Tournament by virtue of a 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-11) win in league play with Bryn Mawr Monday evening. Only Dickinson and Muhlenberg can match F&M in the final standings, each of which F&M defeated, giving the Diplomats the tiebreaker should it be necessary.

It was a match of solid service runs for F&M (11-15, 6-3 CC). Erica Spangler's 10-point service run in the opener included one of her two aces in the match, and broke open a tight game. F&M opened the second game with an 11-0 run on the scoreboard. 10 of the points were scored with Jessica Poucel serving. She rolled up two of her three aces on the night during that stretch.

Nicole Morano and Spangler led the F&M assault with seven kills each. Spangler posted nine digs and a solo block. Morano assisted on four blocks. Margot Phelan and Mariah Eble contributed with five kills apiece. Val Pusateri and Pam Horner set up the offense with 17 and nine assists each.

The win was F&M's third in as many matches, each of which was needed to keep playoff hopes alive. The Diplomats wrap up the regular season on Saturday with Swarthmore. The team's four seniors will be honored prior to the match.
