Women’s Squash Ranked 23rd by CSA

Franklin & Marshall’s women’s squash team will enter the 2009-2010 season ranked 23rd in the nation according to the College Squash Assocition (CSA). The CSA released its preseason poll on Monday afternoon. (more)

F&M Announces 2009 Athletics Hall of Fame Class

Franklin & Marshall’s Department of Athletics and Recreation announced its 2009 Hall of Fame Class on Thursday. The class includes seven inductees: Liz Mackey, Carmen Trombini Glenn, Todd Marshall, Jehangir Pandole, Joseph J. Rothermel, Mary Schapiro (pictured), and Paige Worth. (more)

Squash Video System Gains Industry Notice

Franklin & Marshall’s squash venue was recently outfitted with a cutting edge digital video system. The revolutionary system was noted in CEPro, a custom electronics industry magazine. (more)

Foster Ousted From CSA Championships

Franklin & Marshall freshman, Ellie Foster, was eliminated from the Holleran Cup Division of the College Squash Association Individual Championships Saturday. Foster fell 10-8, 9-6, 7-9, 9-7 to Tufts’ No. 3 player, Stefanie Marx. (more)

Foster Splits Day One at CSA Championships

Competing in the bottom half of the draw at the College Squash Association Individual Championships, Franklin & Marshall’s Ellie Foster (10-11) went 1-1 on the first day of the Holleran Cup. Foster was swept by Samantha Smith Colby’s top player, 9-3, 9-5, 9-0 in the first round, but rebounded with a 9-1, 9-1, 9-5 win over St. Lawrence’s top player, Meg North. She will face Tufts’ No. 3, Stephanie Marx, on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. (more)

Columbia Squeaks Out Win over Diplomats

Columbia University edged out Franklin & Marshall 5-4 in the consolation final of the Walker Cup Division at the College Squash Association’s (CSA) women’s team championships on Sunday. The loss leaves the Diplomats with an 8-11 record, and the 22nd ranking in the nation from the true playoff format. (more)

Diplomats Out-Stubborn Mules

Franklin & Marshall’s women’s squash team defeated Colby 7-2 in the Walker Division of the College Squash Association Team Championships Saturday afternoon. The win avenges a 5-4 loss suffered against the Mules (8-12) at the Smith/Holyoke Round Robin back in January, and earns the Diplomats (8-10) the right to face Columbia on Sunday for 21st place in the final team standings. Women's Squash Falls on First Day at CSA Championships

Franklin & Marshall’s women’s squash dropped a 5-4 decision to Tufts in the opening round of the College Squash Association (CSA) Championships. The Diplomats (7-10) are competing for the Walker Cup, which plays out for the 17th through 24th positions in the final national rankings. (more)

Women’s Squash Smiling on Senior Day

Franklin & Marshall’s women’s squash team had plenty to smile about on Senior Day. The Diplomats (7-9) made short work of Haverford (2-6), picking up a 9-0 win over their Route 30 rivals. (more)

Franklin & Marshall College named John White Director of Squash and Head Men's and Women's Squash Coach on September 5, 2007. Formerly the top-ranked player in the world, White remains a top-ten player in the Dunlop / Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Rankings. A native of Queensland, Australia and a Scottish national, White has 12 PSA tour titles to his credit since becoming a full-time professional in 1991. He broke into the top 20 in the world rankings in 1998, and climbed his way to the top of the tour, reaching number one in the world in March of 2004.
