Diplomats Falter in D.C.

Franklin & Marshall’s women’s squash team fell 9-0 at George Washington Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats (0-2) were swept 3-0 in at all nine positions as GWU improved to 2-1 on the year. F&M will seek the season’s first win on Friday, December 5, at Vassar. (more)

Women's Squash Falls in Season Opener

Franklin & Marshall’s women’s squash team fell 9-0 to Cornell Friday evening. The match was the season opener for both teams. Cornell won all nine positions and the exhibition match in three. F&M returns to action on Saturday at George Washington. (more)

Franklin & Marshall will open the squash season on Friday evening with a unique twist. When the Diplomats host Cornell, fans will be able to tune in live for all of the action on court three, which will feature the number one and two players from both teams. (more)

John White Retires From Professional Circuit

Franklin & Marshall’s Director of Squash and the world’s former top-ranked professional, John White, officially announced his retirement from the professional ranks. (more)

White Competes at World Open

Franklin & Marshall head coach, John White, will play in the Squash World Open being held this week in Manchester in the United Kingdom. White will face Mansoor Zaman of Pakistan at 6:00 p.m. (1 pm EST) to open the tournament. (more)

I hadn't seen John White for months now, and I really missed the Tall Man so much. He is one of the most brilliant characters of the circuit, his humour, light on life, and style of play second to none. (more)

Women's Squash Slips Past Fords Again

Franklin & Marshall took the third meeting of the year with Haverford in women's squash, giving the Diplomats a 2-1 record against the Fords this season. The 5-4 win came in the battle for 29th place at the Howe Cup in the Epps Cup division. F&M went 2-1 on the weekend to close the team competition portion of the season with wins in four of its last five matches. Complete results will be posted when they become available. (more)

Women's Squash Slides by Smith

Franklin & Marshall's women's squash team picked up its third win in four matches, knocking off Smith College 8-1 in the consolation bracket of the Epps Cup at the Howe Cup Competition. The win was the Diplomats (3-13) second over Smith (0-20) this season, and gave F&M the right to face Haverford on Sunday for the 29th ranking in the nation. The Diplomats split the two regular season meetings with Haverford. (more)

Diplomats Drop First Match at Howe Cup

Connecticut College got the better of Franklin & Marshall's women's squash team for the second time this season, defeating the Diplomats 7-2 at the Howe Cup, taking place at Princeton this weekend. F&M is competing in the Epps Cup, which will sort teams 25 through 32. The Camels (4-17) previously defeated F&M (2-13) 8-1 back on January 18. (more)

Franklin & Marshall College named John White Director of Squash and Head Men's and Women's Squash Coach on September 5, 2007. Formerly the top-ranked player in the world, White remains a top-ten player in the Dunlop / Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Rankings. A native of Queensland, Australia and a Scottish national, White has 12 PSA tour titles to his credit since becoming a full-time professional in 1991. He broke into the top 20 in the world rankings in 1998, and climbed his way to the top of the tour, reaching number one in the world in March of 2004.
