Franklin & Marshalls womens squash team was set to open the 2009-2010 season with Virginia this Friday evening, November 20 in Mayser Center. The match has been cancelled. The Diplomats will now open the season on Sunday, November 22, against Dartmouth. The match is set for an 11 a.m. start in Mayser.

Franklin & Marshalls womens squash team will enter the 2009-2010 season ranked 23rd in the nation according to the College Squash Assocition (CSA). The CSA released its preseason poll on Monday afternoon.

Foster Ousted From CSA Championships
Franklin & Marshall freshman, Ellie Foster, was eliminated from the Holleran Cup Division of the College Squash Association Individual Championships Saturday. Foster fell 10-8, 9-6, 7-9, 9-7 to Tufts No. 3 player, Stefanie Marx.

Foster Splits Day One at CSA Championships
Competing in the bottom half of the draw at the College Squash Association Individual Championships, Franklin & Marshalls Ellie Foster (10-11) went 1-1 on the first day of the Holleran Cup. Foster was swept by Samantha Smith Colbys top player, 9-3, 9-5, 9-0 in the first round, but rebounded with a 9-1, 9-1, 9-5 win over St. Lawrences top player, Meg North. She will face Tufts No. 3, Stephanie Marx, on Saturday at 9:00 a.m.

Columbia Squeaks Out Win over Diplomats
Columbia University edged out Franklin & Marshall 5-4 in the consolation final of the Walker Cup Division at the College Squash Associations (CSA) womens team championships on Sunday. The loss leaves the Diplomats with an 8-11 record, and the 22nd ranking in the nation from the true playoff format.

Diplomats Out-Stubborn Mules
Franklin & Marshalls womens squash team defeated Colby 7-2 in the Walker Division of the College Squash Association Team Championships Saturday afternoon. The win avenges a 5-4 loss suffered against the Mules (8-12) at the Smith/Holyoke Round Robin back in January, and earns the Diplomats (8-10) the right to face Columbia on Sunday for 21st place in the final team standings.

Franklin & Marshalls womens squash dropped a 5-4 decision to Tufts in the opening round of the College Squash Association (CSA) Championships. The Diplomats (7-10) are competing for the Walker Cup, which plays out for the 17th through 24th positions in the final national rankings.

Franklin & Marshall College named John White Director of Squash and Head Men's and Women's Squash Coach on September 5, 2007. Formerly the top-ranked player in the world, White remains a top-ten player in the Dunlop / Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Rankings. A native of Queensland, Australia and a Scottish national, White has 12 PSA tour titles to his credit since becoming a full-time professional in 1991. He broke into the top 20 in the world rankings in 1998, and climbed his way to the top of the tour, reaching number one in the world in March of 2004.
