Incorvaia Named to Academic All-District II Second Team
Franklin & Marshall senior, Lauren Incorvaia was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District II Softball Team when it was announced Thursday morning.

Incorvaia Named 2nd Team East All-Regional Catcher by NFCA
Lauren Incorvaia was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) East All-Regional 2nd Team on Tuesday. Last week Incorvaia became the 12th player to earn first-team All-Centennial honor three times, receiving the honor in 2006 and 2007.

Incorvaia and Mancino Receive All-Centennial Honors
Two members of Franklin & Marshalls softball team were named to the All-Centennial Conference Team when it was announced Thursday. Lauren Incorvaia (Manalapan, N.J./Saint John Vianney) was named to the leagues First Team and Jessika Mancino (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) received Honorable Mention.

Diplomats Go Out Swinging
The Franklin & Marshall softball team went out with a fight, dropping both games to Dickinson in a Centennial Conference (CC) doubleheader on Saturday. The Red Devils (17-14, 8-8 CC) won the first game 9-3 and picked their second victory with a 13-8 defeat of the Diplomats (16-20, 4-12 CC) in game two. The game was the last event for the F&M seniors. They were honored in between games.

Diplomats Drop Two to Bullets
Erin Ober notched five hits, scored six runs and batted in five more to lead Gettysburg to a doubleheader sweep of Franklin & Marshall (16-18, 4-10 CC) in Centennial Conference (CC) softball action on Thursday. The Bullets (24-9-1, 9-4-1 CC) took the opener 8-3 before needing five innings in game two to complete the sweep, 14-1.

Diplomats Spilt with Garnet
Franklin & Marshalls softball team split Saturdays double header with Swarthmore in Centennial Conference (CC) action. The Diplomats (18-10-1, 11-3 CC) dropped the first game 5-2 and rallied back to defeat the Garnet (12-27, 2-8 CC) 6-2 in the night cap.

Morgan Chosen Athlete of the Week
Morgan finished the week perfect at 2-0, pitching two complete games. She allowed four earned runs for a 2.00 ERA and opposing hitters batted .246 against her. Morgan struck out 14 batters and only walked two.

Diplomats Win a Pair
Franklin & Marshall swept visiting Penn State-Hazleton Friday afternoon in a non-conference doubleheader. The Diplomats (15-15, 2-7 CC) defeated the Lions 4-1 in the first game and needed only five innings to win the second game 14-1.

Franklin & Marshall College named Dr. Michael J. Cooperstein, D.M.D., of Broomall, Pa., its head softball coach in August of 2007. Cooperstein brings nearly two decades of coaching experience to Lancaster. On the collegiate level, Cooperstein spent five seasons (2001-2006) as an assistant at Saint Joseph's University. Two of those seasons were spent as the bench coach and hitting instructor, while the other three were spent overseeing the squad's pitchers and infielders.
