Iannaconi Ends Career With Bang

Franklin & Marshall catcher, Liz Iannaconi, ended her career with a walk off single to leftfield that plated the game-winning run in an 3-2 F&M win over York on Thursday. The senior's Texas leaguer put F&M (10-21) in double-digits in the wins column for the first time since the 2004 season. (more)

Jones Earns Honorable Mention

Franklin & Marshall senior third baseman, Robyn Jones, was All-Centennial Honorable Mention in softball on Tuesday. Jones, a second team choice in 2007, landed on the All-Centennial Team for the second time in her career. (more)

Jones Named Centennial Co-Player of the Week

Franklin & Marshall's senior third baseman, Robyn Jones, was named the Centennial Conference's Softball Co-Player of the Week on Monday. She is the first Diplomat fielder to earn the honor this season. She shared the honor with Muhlenberg catcher RiRi Ferigno. (more)

Softball Swept at Dickinson

Franklin & Marshall's softball team closed out the Centennial Conference portion of its season with a pair of close losses at Dickinson on Saturday. F&M (9-21, 5-11 CC) fell 3-1 in the opener, while the Red Devils (24-14, 12-4 CC) edged out a 4-2 win in the nightcap. (more)

Diplomats Split Albright Twinbill

Franklin & Marshall's softball team split a pair of games at Albright on Tuesday, falling 7-5 in the opener before rallying for an 18-6 win in the nightcap. (more)

Softball Splits Swarthmore Saturday

Franklin & Marshall senior, Bonnie Crouthamel, scattered five hits over seven innings to take a 1-0 pitchers duel from Swarthmore's Kathryn Riley in the opening game of Saturday's Centennial Conference (CC) softball double header. The Garnet (20-12, 9-5 CC) returned the favor in the nightcap, shutting out the Fummers (8-18, 5-9 CC) 4-0. (more)

Gettysburg Sweeps Softball

Gettysburg swept Franklin & Marshall 7-0 and 10-2 in a Centennial Conference softball double-header on Tuesday. Kristy Rubino limited the Diplomats (7-17, 4-8 CC) to three hits in her shutout in the opener while F&M allowed six unearned runs. The Bullets (13-12, 5-7 CC) limited F&M to five hits in game two while posting six early runs to spark the mercy-shortened win. (more)

Softball Sweeps Shorewomen on Senior Sunday

On the day that her and her classmates were honored, Franklin & Marshall senior Bonnie Crouthamel picked up wins on both ends of the Diplomats (7-15, 4-6 CC) sweep of Washington College in Centennial Conference (CC) softball. F&M won the first game 3-1, and took their streak to four-straight wins with a 7-6 win in the closer. (more)

Franklin & Marshall College named Dr. Michael J. Cooperstein, D.M.D., of Broomall, Pa., its head softball coach in August of 2007. Cooperstein brings nearly two decades of coaching experience to Lancaster. On the collegiate level, Cooperstein spent five seasons (2001-2006) as an assistant at Saint Joseph's University. Two of those seasons were spent as the bench coach and hitting instructor, while the other three were spent overseeing the squad's pitchers and infielders.
