Roy Named CC Defensive Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. - Erin Roy, a member of the Franklin & Marshall women's soccer team, has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept 1-7. This is the first time she has earned the honor.

Roy, a senior goalkeeper, made nine saves and recorded her first shutout of the season to help the Diplomats go 2-0 this week. She made six saves and stopped a penalty kick to help F&M defeat Cabrini 2-1, before working 90 minutes and posting three saves in a 1-0 win over St. John Fisher.

For the week, Roy posted a 0.50 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage in two wins in the net.     

F&M returns to action on Wednesday against Susquehanna. Game time is 7 p.m.
