Pritchard & Summers Named Players of the Year

The IWLCA announced the honorees for Players of the Year as 12 student-athletes received recognition at the annual All-American banquet tonight (June 13), held this year in King of Prussia, Pa. at the Crowne Plaza Valley Forge. Eight schools had student-athletes named as the top player for their respective positions by the organization, including C. W. Post, Franklin & Marshall, North Carolina, Salisbury, each of which had two student-athletes so honored. (more)

Tee-shirts celebrating Franklin & Marshall’s 2009 NCAA Division III National Championship in women’s lacrosse have arrived at the F&M bookstore. Pritchard Honda DIII Athlete of the Year

Franklin & Marshall graduate, Jen Pritchard ’09, has been named the 2008-2009 Division III Women’s Lacrosse Athlete of the Year. The Collegiate Women Sports Awards, sponsored by Honda, bestowed the honor upon the Diplomats’ attack. (more)

Six Diplomats Named All-American by US Lax/IWLCA

Six members of Franklin & Marshall’s Women’s Lacrosse team were named All-Americans by US Lacrosse and the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). (more)

National Champs Dominate IWLCA All-Metro Region Squad

Eight members of Franklin & Marshall’s 2009 NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championship Team were named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Metro Region Team when it was released on Tuesday. Seven Diplomats were named to the First Team and are eligible for All-America consideration, while one was named to the Second Team. (more)

Three Diplomats and Coach Selected for North/South All-Star Game

Three members of the Franklin & Marshall women’s lacrosse team have been selected to compete in the IWLCA North/South Senior All-Star game on Saturday, June 13. Sarah Meisenberg, Jen Pritchard and Shannon Summers, will represent the South squad. Their team will be coached by Diplomats’ first-year mentor, Lauren Paul. (more)

WomensLacrosse.com Piles on Honors

Six members of Franklin & Marshall’s NCAA Division III National Champion women’s lacrosse team gathered eight honors from WomensLacrosse.com when the site released its postseason awards list on Friday. Blake Hargest, Devi Hensch, Sarah Meisenberg, Jen Pritchard, Lidia Sanza and Shannon Summers were each recognized. (more)

Cap, Gown, Eye Black

Franklin & Marshall’s Class of 2009 is complete. The final eight seniors accepted their diplomas from President John Fry about an hour after winning their second NCAA Division III Championship in three years. Soaked in sweat, painted in eye black, and one with a cut under her nose, the Diplomats collected their sheepskins in front of friends and family. (more)

A two-time All-America choice and three-time Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Metro Region First Team selection for the Diplomats, Lauren Paul ’03, became the 10th women’s lacrosse coach in the program’s history in September, 2008.
