Summers Honored By WomensLacrosse.com

LANCASTER, Pa. – #2 Franklin & Marshall senior midfielder, Shannon Summers (North Wales, Pa. / The Hill School) was named to the WomensLacrosse.com Honor Roll for her efforts last week.

Summers helped the Diplomats (16-1) to their third Centennial Conference Championship in as many years in a 3-0 week for F&M.

In Tuesday’s regular season finale, Summers recorded three assists and six draw controls to help F&M to a 16-10 win over then-fourth Gettysburg. That victory earned the Diplomats the right to host the Centennial Conference Championship Tournament.

In the pair of weekend games, Summers scored twice and assisted on four goals while winning seven more draws in a 14-12 semifinal win over Dickinson and a 14-7 win over Gettysburg in the final.

The honor marks the second time in her career that Summers has been noticed by WomensLacrosse.com. The organization named her a third team All-American last year.
