Sanza Named WomensLacrosse.com POW

LANCASTER, Pa. – Lidia Sanza was named the WomensLacrosse.com Defensive Player of the Week following her performance in the Diplomats 17-8 win over The College of New Jersey.

Sanza came up huge against fourth-ranked College of New Jersey (10-2), turning away 15 of 23 shots on goal in a 17-8 Diplomat victory. She posted a 65.2 save percentage on the night and faced down 17 free positions. The honor is the second from the Centennial for Sanza this season. She was named the Defensive Player of the Week on April 6. That honor was the fourth of her career. Sanza was named to the WomensLacrosse.com team of the week on April 13.

Sanza was WomensLacrosse.com's Rookie and Goalkeeper of the Year after backstopping the Diplomats NCAA Championship run in 2007. She was also a WomensLacrosse.com First Team All-American that season.
