Meisenberg Named JSR All-American
Jul 17, 2008LANCASTER, Pa. - Junior midfielder Sarah Meisenberg (Severna Park, MD/Severn School), a member of the Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse team, has been named to the 2008 Jewish Sports Review All-America first team. It is the second time she has earned this honor and fourth All-American accolade received this season.
Meisenberg is one of 10 named to the first team out of both Division II and III women's lacrosse student-athletes. She was also selected to the IWLCA/US Lacrosse, Inside Lacrosse and womenslacrosse.com All-America first team.
The midfielder set career highs in goals (44), assists (35), and points (79) and free-position goals (14). Meisenberg, one of four players to score 40 or more goals, averaged 3.95 points per game and tied for first on the team with 54 ground balls. She also was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team and to the Metro All-Region first team.
