Four Diplomats Win Events at Susquehanna

Four different Diplomats won their event at Friday's Orange and Maroon Classic. The non-team scoring affair was hosted by Susquehanna University.

Megan Hunter won the 800 squeaking across the line just ahead of Misericordia's Ali Ostrum. Hunter clocked a 2:32.30, while Ostrum posted a 2:32.35. Maggie Selzer finished fifth in the same race crossing in 2:34.97.

Karen Ziga won the 5000 meter run with a 26 second edge on the field. She logged a 18:53.89.

Libby Haas was the only competitor to clear the five-foot barrier in the high jump. She won the event on the strength of a 5' 1.75 inch jump. She also took seventh in the 200 meter (28.55). Bridgewater's Courtney Hartman won the race with a 27.28.

Alyssa Catalano won the weight throw with a hurl of 48' 0.75". She outdistanced the field by more than ten feet. DeSales' Meghan Weber launched second place throw that went 37' 7.75 inches.
