Diplomats Compete at Fredonia State

FREDONIA, NY - Alyssa Catalano led the Franklin & Marshall women's indoor track & field team with a third-place finish in the weight throw and shot put at the Mary Phillips Open held at Fredonia State on Saturday.

Competing among seven-time Division II NCAA champion in Adriane Blewitt and six-time SUNYAC champion in Julia Hopson, Catalano came in behind them for third in both events, throwing 16.18m in the weight throw and 11.34m in the shot put.

Erin Gleason finished fourth in the shot put with a distance of 10.95, while taking fifth in the weigh throw (12.74).

Caitlin Regan led the Diplomats in the sprinting events, taking second in the 400m dash with a time of 1:05.74. Newcomer Henley Siegrist ran 27.9 in the 200m dash for fourth overall and then clocked in at eight seconds flat in the 55m dash for fifth place.
