Catalano Breaks School Record at Bison Opener

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Senior Alyssa Catalano broke the school record in the weight throw, placing second with a throw of 16.25m to lead the Franklin & Marshall women's indoor track & field team at the Bison Opener hosted by Bucknell on Saturday.

Catalano threw 53'3.7" to reset her old record of 53'1.5" set last season. She also placed 14^th in the shot put with throw of 11.18m.

Emily Wilson led the Diplomats in the distance race, finishing 13^th in the 3,000m with a time of 11:35.05. Senior Erin Gleason joined Catalano in the field events, taking 15^th in the shot put (11.03m) and 19^th in the weight throw (11.97m).

In the sprints, Maame Minkah ran an 8.80 for 46^th place in the 60m dash, while earning 54^th in the 200m dash with a time of 40.83. Claire Marshall also participated in the 60m dash, running 9.31 for 51^st overall.
