Diplomats in Third Halfway Through CC Championships

NEW TRIPOLI, Pa. - Paced by Grace Gallagher's 89, Franklin & Marshall's women's golf team is in fourth place after one round of the Centennial Conference Women's Golf Championships. Gallagher sits in fifth place amongst the 26 competing golfers. The 36-hole event is being played at the par 72, 5,800-yard Olde Homestead Golf Course.
With the individual leader and three additional golfers in the top ten, McDaniel College (357) holds an eight-stroke lead over Gettysburg (365) at the halfway point. The Green Terror's Jennie Weiner shot an 81 (+9) to claim the lead after 18 holes.
F&M's Noel Stinchfield is in 10th place with a 95 (+23), followed by teammate Meaghan Eyler with a 97 (+25). Caroline Hailey sits 18th with 105 (+33) shots on her card, while Beth Holt rounds out the F&M entry with a 107 (+35).
F&M trails the Bullets 21 stokes. Host Muhlenberg is in fourth place, followed by Dickinson (415). Swarthmore does not factor in the team scoring.
