Gallagher Fourth at Hollins Invite

ROANOKE, Va. - Grace Gallagher shot an 89 on Saturday and shaved five shots from that score on Sunday to place fourth at the Hollins Invitational this weekend. Her combined 173 was 17 strokes off of the champion, Vicky Kasza of Hollins, who shot a combined 156 to go 12 strokes over par on the tournament.
Kasza bested a field of 13 golfers from three teams, and had a five shot edge on second place finisher, Lynne Laseter of Piedmont. Kasza led Hollins to a second place finish, while Piedmont walked off with the team title. Piedmont had a 56 shot edge on the field with all four of their scoring golfers finishing in the top eight.
F&M's Noel Stinchfield tied Piedmont's Ashley Rutledge for sixth place with a combined 189. Stinchfield also shaved five shots off of her Saturday score. Caroline Hailey took four shots off of her round one total for a combined 192 and ninth place. Andrea Huffman rounded out the field in 13th place.
The Diplomats return to the links tomorrow at Gettysburg, the final event of F&M's fall season.
