ELMIRA, N.Y. - Elmira College's women's golf team edged Franklin & Marshall by four strokes in head-to-head competition at the Elmira Country Club Friday afternoon. The Diplomats had three of the top five golfers, but Elmira's Erika Godwin bested the field by nine shots to secure the win for her team, 392-394.

Grace Gallagher shot an 89 for second place amongst the nine golfers, followed by Noelle Stinchfield with a 97. Caroline Hailey tied for fourth with Elmira's Hillary Irvine having each shot a 99. Kelly Marchisio shot a 109 in her first collegiate round for seventh place.

The Diplomats return to action next week at the Dickinson Fall Classic.
