Womens Golf Wins Dickinson Invite

CARLISLE, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's women's golf team handily won the Dickinson College Invitational on Tuesday. F&M posted a combined 372 to finish 42 strokes ahead of the hosts, the only other scoring team in the make-up of a rained out event earlier in the month.
The Diplomats owned second through fourth place. Noel Stinchfield shot 87 to finish one stroke behind the tournament winner, Gettysburg's Caroline Nathan. F&M's Grace Gallagher shot 88 for third place, followed by Caroline Hailey. Hailey shot 91 on the par 72 Mayapple Golf Links.
Beth Holt came in eighth place with a 106, while Andrew Huffman finished tenth with a 110.
The win wraps up the Diplomats' 2009 season. For the third consecutive season, F&M's women's golfers have reset their season average. F&M shot 405.8 this year, down from 420.3 a year ago
