Gallagher Leads F&M Charge at Dickinson
Sep 16, 2008
LEBANON, Pa. -- Grace Gallagher shot a 91 to place eighth
amongst the nine golfers competing at the Dickinson Fall
Invitational. Franklin & Marshall finished in third place
amongst the three scoring teams.
Gallagher provided the Diplomats with the third best individual
round of the season thus far. The 91 left her 19 shots over the par
72, 6,011-yard course at Fairview Golf Club and eight strokes off
of the medalist mark of Gettysburg’s Caroline Nathan, who
shot 83.
The Diplomats’ Noel Stinchfield also finished on the top half
of the standings with a 93, her lowest round this season. She
placed ninth overall in the 19-golfer field made up of players from
Gettysburg, Dickinson, Franklin & Marshall and Susquehanna.
Susquehanna did not register a team score.
Caroline Hailey finished 14th for F&M with a 102, while Kelly
Marchisio took 16th with a 110.
Gettysburg owned five of the top seven spots on the leaderboard to
collect the team championship. Dickinson fielded the second place
and seventh place golfer to finish in second place overall.
F&M returns to action on October 4 at the Hollins Invitational
in Roanoke, Va.
