Gallagher Takes Fifth at F&M Fall Invite

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall’s Grace Gallagher shot a 90 on the par 73 Dogwood-Highlands course at the Lancaster Country Club to finish in fifth place amongst the 24 competing golfers at the F&M Fall Invitational.

Gallagher finished six strokes off of the event ‘s medalist, Gettysburg’s Elizabeth Batchelor. The Bullets placed three golfers in the top four positions to take first place amongst the six schools represented. Gettysburg combined for 354 strokes, 35 strokes better than West Chester University’s 389. Delaware and Dickinson and followed the Rams to the clubhouse.

Franklin & Marshall and Susquehanna did not field enough golfers to register a team score. The Diplomats’ Noel Stinchfield shot a 96 to tie for ninth place, while Caroline Hailey shot 105 to finish 18th.

The tournament was the first of the new academic year for F&M. The Diplomats return to the tee box on Thursday for the Elmira Invitational.
