Twenty-Seven Diplomats Named to Academic Honor Roll
Twenty-seven Diplomats have been named to the 2009 Centennial Conference (CC) Fall Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must participate in at least 50% of his or her teams contests, be a sophomore or higher and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.40.

It has been a successful and productive fall season for Franklin & Marshall athletics with three teams advancing to the Centennial Conference (CC) playoffs in their respective sports. The Diplomats Field Hockey, Mens Soccer and Volleyball teams all made the CC postseason.

Diplomats Secure Playoff Spot
Franklin & Marshalls field hockey team travelled to Swarthmore on Saturday in need of a win to keep the season alive. A three-goal surge in the second half delivered the needed victory as F&M stole a 4-2 decision at Clothier Field. The Diplomats (10-7, 5-5 CC) win, combined with Haverfords win over McDaniel pushed F&M into the playoffs.

Chelsey Talhelms two assist, one-goal performance led Franklin & Marshall to a 4-1 victory over York Wednesday evening at Tylus Field. The Diplomats (9-7) started off slow, but put together a three-goal run, spanning 21 minutes, half way through the first half to secure the win.

McLaren Named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week
Allison McLaren was Named Centennial Conference (CC) Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week. McLaren registered her first career hat trick, scoring three times in a 14-minute span of the first half as the Diplomats kept their playoff hopes alive with a 4-0 blanking of Muhlenberg.

It was senior day for the Franklin & Marshall Field Hockey team, but it was a sophomore that stole the show. Allison McLaren picked up her first career hat trick leading the Diplomats to a 4-0 victory over Muhlenberg in Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey action. The Diplomats improve to 8-7 (4-5 CC) while the Mules fall to 8-7 (4-4 CC).

Allison Bauers scored the game-winning goal in the 61st minutes as Franklin & Marshall defeated Dickinson 3-2 in a Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey game. The Diplomats (7-7, 3-5 CC) dominated in shots, holding a 16-8 advantage over the Red Devils (5-9, 3-4 CC).

Melissa Krempa was named Franklin & Marshall's 12th varsity field hockey coach on Thursday, March 13, 2008. She joins the Diplomat staff after spending four years as the assistant field hockey coach, and strength and conditioning coordinator at William Smith College. During her tenure, she led the Herons to four consecutive Liberty League championships and four trips to the NCAA tournament, including the Final Four one year.
