Meisenberg Honored as Top Female Athlete

Sarah Meisenberg and Justin Herbert received that highest honor Franklin & Marshall bestows on their athletes, the Karvasales and Garrigues awards. The Karvasales Women’s Scholar-Athlete Award is given to the top athlete from F&M’s 14 female sports teams. The Garrigues Outstanding Senior Athlete for Men Award is given to the top male athlete. Meisenberg Selected to the 2008-2009 Jewish Sports Review All-America Team

Sarah Meisenberg was selected to the 2008-2009 Jewish Sports Review Women’s College Basketball All-America Team. The award marks Meisenberg fourth All-America honor in her basketball career. (more)

Hoops Still Making Strides

Three years ago, Ashlee Courter took over a team with a small roster in both number and size. One recruiting class later, the taller Diplomats were playing in the Centennial Conference Championship finals. Jays Run Eliminates Diplomats

Lyndsay Burton and Kristin Phillip both scored 17 points as third-seed Johns Hopkins defeated second-seed Franklin & Marshall 75-58 in the semifinals of the Centennial Conference (CC) Championship Tournament. (more)

Meisenberg Named to All-CC First Team

Senior guard Sarah Meisenberg has been named to the All-Centennial Conference First Team, announced on Tuesday. The two-time captain and All-American leads the team with 14.8 points per game. (more)

Diplomats Use Second-Half Surge to Sweep Bullets

The Franklin & Marshall women’s basketball team had a 21-point turnaround in the second half, shooting 77.3 percent from the floor and erasing a 14-point deficit to post a 67-60 crucial Centennial Conference victory on Wednesday night. (more)

In 2008-2009, Ashlee Courter will enter her third season as the head women's basketball coach at Franklin & Marshall. In just her second year at the helm, Courter led her young squad to a 19-7 overall record and a 14-4 Centennial Conference (CC) mark to be named the CC regular-season champions. The Diplomats earned the top seed for the CC tournament, making their first playoff appearance since 2004 and also posting a perfect 9-0 record at home in CC play. In addition to the team's success, Courter mentored junior guard Sarah Meisenberg to CC Player of the Year honors and two All-American nods.
