Three years ago, Ashlee Courter took over a team with a small roster in both number and size. One recruiting class later, the taller Diplomats were playing in the Centennial Conference Championship finals. This year, one of the tightest regular seasons in Centennial history, ended with F&M in the Centennial Conference Championship Semifinals.

F&M won eight of the last 11 conference games played on the year and pieced together a five game winning streak late in the season to wrap up the campaign with a 14-12 record.
Senior guard, Sarah Meisenberg earned All-Centennial First Team honors and was a Jostens Trophy finalist. In the coming days, the multi-sport All-American will find out if she lived up the Preseason All-American billing. Meisenberg turned in seven (Thru BMC) 20-point performances and scored in double-figures in 20 games.

As has been the case throughout her career, Meisenberg turned it on when it mattered the most. She rolled up 32 points in what turned out to be the final game of her career, a 75-58 loss to Johns Hopkins in the CC semis.

Meisenberg wasn’t the only senior helping to write the new chapter in the Diplomats history. Cara Landolfi turned in six double-doubles, while Amanda Miceli scored in double-digits in eight games.
Despite the losses to graduation, the future looks bright for the Diplomats. Beth Holt, who played only the second half of the season, scored in double figures seven times. She proved she had ice in her veins, hitting every free throw she took in the final two minutes of a game this season.
Free throws were crucial for F&M. The Diplomats went 10-4 in games with more trips to the line than their opponents. F&M was unbeaten in the five games in which they scored 70 or more points.

A stellar first-year class contributed to the Diplomats successes in 2008-2009. Megan Pauley started 14 of the 19 games she played in, averaging 27.6 minutes per contest. Pauley gave F&M 7.1 ppg and 5.8 ppg.

Allison Bauer and Casey Downie each started five games and played in 25. Both averaged 4.3 points per game, while Downie averaged 4.0 rebounds per contest. She also blocked 20 shots. Bauer contributed 29 assists and 23 steals as well.
