Pete Schuyler
Head Coach
717-291-4101
College: Lehigh

Coach Schuyler began at F&M in the 1998-1999 season with the mission to rebuild the Diplomats into a powerhouse of Division I intercollegiate wrestling. To do this, Schuyler will look for athletes "who will do what it takes to achieve success as a student athlete and also as an alumnus in their chosen field." Schuyler has been actively building the F&M program since he came on board and has coached the Pennsylvania Junior National Team since the summer of 1999.

Schuyler graduated from Lehigh University in 1983 with a degree in Finance and an outstanding wrestling career. He was a two-time champion in the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) and earned All-American status by placing third in the 1983 NCAA Championships at 134 pounds. He was a three time USA Wrestling Freestyle All-American and competed on the World Cup Team in 1985 where he placed fourth. He earned a master's degree in Administrative Management in 1995 from the University of Maryland (Bowie).

A native of Bound Brook, NJ, he brings more than a decade of collegiate coaching experience to F&M, including one year as head coach at James Madison University and nine years as an assistant coach at the United States Naval Academy.

After serving as volunteer coach at Lehigh, Schuyler began his coaching career as an assistant at James Madison University. He was elevated to head coach in 1987 and led JMU to his highest team finish to that point at the NCAA Championships. He was named one of the Top Five Rookie Coaches by Amateur Wrestling News that year.

At Navy, he coached fifteen EIWA champions, five NCAA Division I All-Americans and contributed to a 136-41-4 record by the Midshipmen.

Matt Greenberg
Assistant Coach
717-358-4465
College: Cornell

Greenberg joins the staff in 2009 as the program's first full time assistant coach. He brings a wealth of wrestling and worldly experience to the W. Roy Phillips '31 Wrestling Room.

A four-time Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) placewinner, Greenberg was a member of three wrestling teams ranked in the top 10 during his time at Cornell.  In his senior season, Greenberg ranked in the top eight nationally throughout the season, won the EIWA Championship at 197 pounds and went on to his third NCAA Division I Championship Tournament where he earned All-American honors. He finished his collegiate career with more than 120 wins and four All-Ivy League certificates, including three first team tags.

Recruiting F&M's future wrestlers will be a primary responsibility for Greenberg, who got his coaching start under Rob Koll, The David Dunlop '59 Head Coach of Wrestling at Cornell. Greenberg was on the staff in 2004-2005 when the Big Red finished in fourth place at the NCAA Division I National Championships.

In addition to his experience in Ithaca, Greenberg has served as the head coach for The Club Wrestling School in Park Ridge, N.J. and The Ultimate Wrestling School in Elmwood Park, N.J. He also served as an assistant at Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale, N.J.

Greenberg earned a B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in business from Cornell, before earning his M.S. in Sport Business and Management from New York University. He was a marketing intern for Major League Baseball and a project coordinator for the 2006 National Basketball Association All-Star Game and has worked primarily in sports marketing ever since.
