Diplomats Dominate Spartans

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's men's tennis finished their fall season with a 7-2 victory over York Friday evening. The Diplomats were dominant on the courts, winning five out of six in singles action and were two out of three in doubles play.
Armen Vartan started the evening with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Paul Graci. Doug Silverstein kept things going defeating Steve Collison 6-1, 6-2. Ross Silverberg dropped just three games, defeating Colin Jones (6-1, 6-2) in the third flight. Walker Phillips and Eric Rouff each picked up wins for the Diplomats. Phillips dropped Justin Hostetter (6-1, 6-4) while Rouff won 6-3, 6-3 over Travis Klein.
The F&M duo of Samuel Stone and Cameron Relic defeated Jones and Klein 8-4 in the second flight of doubles play. Paul Salierno and Josh Calo ended the evening with a 8-3 victory over James Villari and Hostetter .
The match ends F&M's fall season, the Diplomats will return to the courts in the Spring of 2010.
