#13 Hopkins Rolls Past F&M
Apr 11, 2009LANCASTER, Pa. - #13 Johns Hopkins rolled to a 8-1 win over Franklin & Marshall in Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis action on Saturday. The Blue Jays' (9-3, 6-0 CC) win was their eighth-consecutive victory.
Eric Rouff (7-5, 2-2 CC) provided the Diplomats (4-5, 1-3 CC) with their only win on the afternoon. He posted an 8-6 win over Jake Schneiders in the fifth position. The Hopkins' victory had already been decided. Brad Nelson (7-5, 2-2 CC) took Warren Elgort to tiebreaker. Nelson captured the first set 6-2, but fell 10-7 in the match tiebreak.
The Diplomats return to action on Monday afternoon against Ursinus.
